No till food plot update

Last summer and fall we
prepared several spots to test the no till concept. First we sprayed roundup on
several small spots. Once we got a good weed kill, ( we sprayed twice) depending
on your habitat it may take only one round of spraying or more if your no till
spot gets green before fall spray it again. We then fertilized the areas also in
the fall for spring planting. Just before all the snow was totally gone we used
a hand spreader and seeded the areas. We seeded clover on a couple areas and
brassica on a couple areas. As we all know this spring was very wet so the
brassica didn’t do very good where there was standing water, so once it dried
up some we reseeded. The clover is very hardy, we had some of the clover under
water turning yellow, but it bounced back and ended up being an awesome crop as
you can see in the plots. The end result, it works , all it takes is a little
patience.
